Sharing is caring!
Let’s face it. We can’t escape the shopping season. If you are like me, you want to show support for small businesses as much as possible this holiday season. Etsy is a great place to look!! I’ve put together a few different collections of gifts for your friends and family via etsy. I hope they give you some awesome gift exchange ideas.
You can show your support for small businesses while shopping consciously and not getting people things that they will use once and then collect dust for the rest of the year.
For your vehemently feminist and anti-racist friends, you will definitely want to check out the ‘Activism’ section. For those of your friends that are intrepid souls, I have a collection of totally digital ideas that will blow their minds!! And let’s not forget about my latest obsession into the world of fungi. There’s a ‘Mushroom’ collection as well.
All of the following gift collections are inspired by the year 2021! Most thing you find on here come from events that happened in 2021 or by things that inspired me in 2021. I’m also featuring some of my business besties, so please support my friends the way you would show support for small businesses in your own community. All of the products in these collections come from (mostly) female-owned small businesses… And, in a way, you’ll also be supporting this blog.
Hiii it’s me, Whitney, the author of this post. If you choose to buy something from any of these lists, I might get a small percentage of the sale. This doesn’t change the price of your product at all, so it’s really a win-win-win. Anyway, let’s get on with it, shall we?
If feminism, anti-racism, and social justice are important topics to you (…if they aren’t maybe they should be?) then you can be vocal about your opinion without even saying a word. You can sport your beliefs on your clothing! What a fun way to show support for small businesses while simultaneously standing up for something you believe in.
One of the shop owners featured here is someone I know through the traveling world. I connected with Madison on her IG when we were both traveling Europe at the same time. I’ve been so impressed by the feminist work she’s been doing. Two words I’d use to describe Madison are: creative and fierce! You can support Madison through her Etsy shop, or by visiting her website.
Check out all of these amazing designs in the highly curated Activism Collection.
Digital and Ethereal. Gift your friends with the intuitive self-awareness of a Human Design chart. Or, send them down a wormhole of chakra healing with a digital chakra workbook.
This Digital Collection includes customizable meditations as well as hands-on guides for spiritual awakening. I would imagine these are really good to get your feet wet in the energy-work world. If you want to learn more after this, always see a certified and experienced healer or yoga teacher to help you deepen your inquiries.
You could also buy them a distance energy healing session from me! (Did you know I was a reiki healer?) I do distance healing sessions, live or recorded.
If you follow me on instagram, it is no secret that I got super into foraging mushrooms this year. Namely, for two reasons. 1) Because I live in the PNW where mushrooms grow galore!! 2) Because of the viral documentary featuring the work of Paul Stamets and others.
I really do believe that the future is fungi. There is so much we don’t know about this incredible species that is neither a plant, nor an animal. There is a ton of fascinating research about it, but that’s not the purpose of today’s gift exchange guide.
The truth is that I’m not the only one who is currently discovering the immense healing potential of medicinal mushrooms. Mushrooms are trending so high right now. I am certain you or your friends have at least heard of microdosing by now.
Let’s start talking about it! Wear it on your clothing. Scream it from a mountain top.
Everyone needs to know how incredible mushrooms are. I’m just sayin’! On top of that, mushrooms make fantastic art. There are some very interesting designs in my Etsy Mushroom Collection. Is it a trend? Maybe. Could it change the world? Quite possibly.
Every year, Etsy curates its own holiday collection as well. I love shopping on Etsy because I know I’m directly supporting those I am buying from. Etsy is a super trustworthy brand, and even though it doesn’t have the “efficiency” as Amazon, it doesn’t do a bad job with shipping!
Always check the shipping dates before you purchase and double check if they offer free shipping. With the digital downloads, you don’t have to worry about that at all! There are thousands of amazing gift exchange ideas on the site. I hope you enjoyed the 3 collections I put together for 2021.
Happy shopping small!
